Explanation
What are Orthopedic Insoles?
These are insoles that are produced to provide the person with correct and anatomical stepping by revealing the load distribution of the foot after walking analysis and other measurement methods. These insoles are produced in CNC (Computer Numeric Control) devices by entering the person's post-analysis data into specially developed computer programs. In other words, these insoles, which are prepared differently from the insoles that can be obtained in standard sizes, are aimed at the person's problem. They cannot be used by another person with the same shoe size.
What material is used in the insoles?
In the past, many materials were used in the production of insoles. Hard materials such as metal could cause different deformations and complications in the foot. The most ideal material for insoles is EVA. It is made of Ethyl Vinyl Acetate and has a flexible structure. It is extremely useful because it does not produce bacteria on its structure. It has the feature of not transmitting heat and cold and different hardness levels.
Thanks to the designs developed for various sports disciplines, material selection is of great importance to increase performance and prevent injuries.
What problems are orthopedic insoles a solution to?
Pes Planus (Flat Feet)
Pes Cavus (Hollow Bottom)
Heel Spur
Hallux Valgus
Inward Compression
Pressing Out
Calluses
Personalized Insoles for Leg Shortness Difference
Pes Planus (Flat Feet)
The foot supports the body's springing mechanism by making a flexion movement from the heel forward in every stepping motion. The most important area that provides this springing movement is the arch on the inner side of the foot. The absence or inadequacy of this inner arch is called flat feet.
Special insoles made for people with flat feet relieve pain and prevent the progression of the deformity.
Pes Cavus (Hollow Bottom)
It is a deformity characterized by an increase in the arch of the foot. Due to the increase in the arch of the foot, excessive load is placed on the heel and metatarsal bones. As a result, pain, calluses and tissue hardening are seen in the foot.
Heel Spur
There is a tendon called Plantar Fascia in Latin that extends from the toes to the heel on the sole of the foot. If this tendon is damaged for various reasons, a bone protrusion occurs due to calcium accumulation in the area. Various methods such as breaking this protrusion, applying laser, etc. do not provide a long-term solution because the load on the heel needs to be lightened. For this, the use of special insoles provides serious benefits.
Hallux Valgus
It means that the bone that is compressed due to the pressure from the metatarsal region, as a result of the big toe bending inwards, comes out from the side. The person who has this problem is first warned to use shoes with wide instep and toe areas.
Custom-made insoles that support the metatarsal bone from underneath should be used.
Inward Compression
Intoeing is the condition where the feet turn inwards when stepping, instead of looking straight ahead. There can be many reasons for intoeing. It is most likely to be seen in young children and babies.
What are the harms of introversion?
????Arthritis of the wrists, knees, hips, spine, shoulders and neck,
????Spine curvatures, (Scoliosis-Lordosis)
????Joint pains,
????Back problems,
????Considering that we take between 8000 and 14000 steps a day, it causes extreme fatigue.
In case of inward stepping, wear and tear occurs in shoes.
If you have an instep problem, we definitely recommend using custom insoles.
Increased foot pain due to instepping and disruption of the body's load balance also lead to different complaints.
Pressing Out
Staging out is the act of walking with your feet out to the sides. While walking, your feet angle outwards at around 15 degrees, depending on the direction of walking.
In case of stepping out, wear and tear occurs on the shoes.
Those who have outward walking problems should definitely use personalized insoles.
Calluses
The skin layer that is constantly exposed to pressure or friction thickens to protect the other tissues underneath and is called a callus. It is most commonly seen on the soles of the feet (due to pressure) and the hands (due to friction).
Pressure applied to the nerve tissues under the thickened skin can sometimes cause severe pain. In case of calluses that form on the sole of the foot, patients try not to apply pressure to the area where the calluses are located. This situation causes instability in the feet and legs, as well as serious and sometimes permanent damage and deformities in the joints (especially ankle, knee, hip) and waist over time. For example, a person with a callus on the sole of the right foot may apply years later with complaints of damage to the left knee joint.
Solution: Although creams provide a short-term solution to calluses that occur on the sole due to a pressure disorder, they will reoccur. In such cases, it is necessary to correct the pressure disorder . With a custom-made insole, the pressure disorder can be corrected and you can get rid of calluses permanently. In addition, we take the pressure off the calloused area with the Offloading technique, so that the pressure is reduced and recovery is seen in a short time.
Personalized Insoles for Leg Shortness Difference
Limb length differences are quite common in both children and adults.
Some studies have indicated that leg length inequality can lead to the development of scoliosis, low back pain, sciatica problems, excessive load on the hip and knee joints, stress fractures, plantar fascia or parapatellar knee pain. Traditionally, leg length differences of 2 to 2.5 cm and above require the use of insoles to balance leg length inequalities. Insoles can be placed inside shoes. Such insoles can be used comfortably in deep-cut shoes.
