Indications

Features

• The fabric is breathable and comes into contact with the leg over a large surface area.
• The large surface contact area between the webbing and the leg prevents localised pressure points and thus supports muscle activity.
• The anatomically designed special woven material has inelastic and high tensile properties in one direction.
• Four non-elastic velcro straps provide stable, circular traction.
• Lateral aluminum side joint splints have anatomical features.
• Custom orthosis hinges adapt independently to the compromise pivot points and take into account the position of the knee's three-dimensional, different compromise rotation axis.
• Joints allow extension and flexion to be restricted in 10° intervals.
• The pad allows the orthosis to be placed easily and correctly on the leg.

Mode of Action

• It stabilizes the knee joint within a 4-point system with tensile-resistant, inelastic webbing, joint splints and velcro tapes.
• At the same time, flexible woven sections allow the muscles to move within the orthosis.
• The three-dimensional adjustment feature of the orthosis hinges according to the compressed axis prevents harmful and straining forces on the knee.
• The pad ensures correct positioning of the patella and eliminates the effect of anterior knee pain.
• Fabric compression and pad massage accelerate the reabsorption of effusions and edematous swellings.
• Continuous stimulation of proprioceptors by special tissue has a positive effect on the sensorimotor system and muscle control.
