The corset has 3 mm plastic supports that provide rigid support in the abdomen and waist, and 2 mm in the sternum. Unlike the dorso-lumbar corset, the support in the sternum restricts the flexion movements of the body. By limiting the spinal movements to a certain extent, it ensures an anatomically correct posture and increases stability, thus preparing the healing process.
