• Condition after hip luxation
• Total hip resurfacing surgery
• Total hip revision surgery
• Femoral head resection (Girdlestone condition)
• Hip fragment for two-stage revision procedures
• Moderate to severe coxarthrosis
• Hip instability

Features

• It is very comfortable to apply since soft, breathable and non-sweating materials are used.
• Velcro fasteners with well-placed finger slots allow the patient to put on the orthosis comfortably and easily.
• The pelvic belt, housed in anatomically shaped webbing, ensures easy and correct positioning of the orthosis.
• The three-piece pelvic belt can be adjusted to different waist sizes using the simple fitting principle.
• The fabric section and tension ties on the pelvis and groin belts can be adjusted as desired.
• The monocentric orthosis hinge ensures anatomical positioning and allows perfect control of hip joint protection.
• Joint geometry allows adduction/abduction and flexion/extension to be adjusted in different steps.
• Extension and flexion of the joint can be limited between -10° and +90° in 10° intervals. Adduction and abduction can be adjusted steplessly between -6° and +6°.
• The joint is available in offset and straight versions and can be used to treat the right or left hip.
• The orthosis can also be adjusted for the patient lying in bed or on his back.
• Same model for right and left.

Mode of Action

The orthosis holds the joint head securely in the socket through the following combinations.

– Secure the pelvic girdle over the iliac crests

– Different adjustments of the lateral groin strap

– Adapting the orthosis hinge according to the indication

The multi-dimensional monocentric joint enables treatment in the individually required adduction or abduction position and limits extension and flexion.

This limitation of motion ensures positive surgical results.

Movements that may lead to recurrent dislocation are prevented.
