Indications

• Manuloc Rhizo is a thumb stabilization orthosis for immobilization of the wrist in the desired position.
• The Manuloc Rhizo long increases stability by keeping part of the forearm stationary.
• The anatomically designed metacarpal bar stabilizes the wrist in the desired position.
• Removable and length-adjustable thumb stability is provided by custom-made, cold-formed aluminum supports.
• Mobility in the carpometacarpal joint can be adjusted thanks to the thumb Velcro wing (mobilization)
• The construction of the orthosis provides functional grasping movement and preserves mobility.
• Breathable and moisture-absorbing materials and quality workmanship (seamless production) provide maximum comfort to the patient.
• Large, easy-to-open Velcro straps allow the stabilization orthosis to be easily put on and taken off.

Mode of Action

• Integrated aluminum rods that can be adjusted individually are anatomically shaped and provide stabilization of the wrist.
• The malleable thumb orthosis stabilizes the metacarpophalangeal and carpometacarpal joints.
• The orthosis prevents the distal and proximal wrist joint and the metacarpophalangeal and carpometacarpal joint from making any incorrect movements.
• In addition to treatment, the mobility of the carpometacarpal joint can be increased by removing the thumb immobilization.
